Bonus!!! So one of my favorite Yugioh cards is called "Tin Goldfish" I had a lot of fun making the pot so i figured i would make something else. And a tin goldfish seemed like something i could do
Description: A Clay model of the Yugioh card Tin Goldfish.
Analysis: Looks like the subject. The paint is a little smudged, but that is to be expected when working with a small clay figure and the brushes aren't super small. The detail on the scales and fins are good. The eyes, although a little crooked, still look nice.
Interpretation: Looks how it should. If you played Yugioh and know that card you would instantly think "Thats Tin Goldfish!"
Evaluation: has enough details for you to know what it is. And is painted and modeled pretty well. What more do you need?

Critique: Pot
Description: A mini ancient Greek style pot.
Analysis. Has some inspirations from ancient Greek pottery. The design of the pot as well as the artwork on it a very Greek. Although this was only after one coat of paint so you can see some smudges, given a few more coats and some varnish it will probably look a lot nicer.
Interpretation: Definitely can be interpreted as a piece of ancient Greek pottery. Maybe by an apprentice potter or something.
Evaluation: Overall I'm happy with how this turned out. I haven't seen what the other student's pots have turned out as the critique isn't out yet, but I'm sure mine is about on par with it. Give it a little more paint and some varnish to finish it and I'm sure it will look amazing.
Critique: Cave Art
Description: A cave art style drawing of a cow.
Analysis: Looks kinda messy but that it sort of what the cave art style is. The lines on the cow are a bit too big but the colors are nice. Maybe a pencil should have been used for the lines instead of paint? The big lines hold it back I think and makes it look sort of like a mix of a child's drawing and a cave drawing. The hand is a nice touch.
Interpretation: Looks like a hybrid of a kid's drawing and a cave painting. Not the best if your trying to make it look like cave art.
Evaluation: Overall i think it failed at looking like a cave painting. When looking through everyone Else's art pieces i knew i should have tried better. I instantly thought of using paint for the whole thing which i think was my problem. I should have thought about mixing mediums. Not super happy with how this turned out.

Critique: Sketch
Description: This is a badge i have of the OverWatch logo. The light source is from below and is shining on the bottom .
Analysis: It looks like what it is supposed to, but the shading could be better. The shadow is a little messy but you can tell it is a shadow most of the time.
Interpretation: I don't think there is that much to interpret from this picture. Its just a badge with a symbol from a game.
Evaluation: Comparing this to some of the other pieces by the other students, it not the best. The object is complex but i don't think it translates 100% to the paper. It still doesn't look bad so id say its about average.

Welcome to my blog
Hello! I probably should have gotten around to doing this sooner but here is my first blog post! This is my art blog for my fine arts class where I will upload my artwork. I'm planning on making a sketch of the week of something related to a video game I enjoy, or one of my pets or something. I will also upload my assignments here as well. Any critique is welcome so long as it is well thought out and meaningful.
